Developer Relations Lead
Location
Remote or San Francisco
Employment type
Part-time
Nucleus, our developer toolkit, gives teams a REST API, SDKs, webhooks, and a CLI to build on top of Strand. We are hiring our first Developer Relations Lead to be the bridge between our engineering team and the developers building on our platform.
About the Role
You will be the bridge between our engineering team and the developers building on our platform. That means writing documentation and example code yourself, not just commissioning it, showing up in the communities where developers actually spend time. This is a founding role for the function. You will set the standard for what developer relations looks like at Strand.
What You Will Work On
Write and maintain documentation, tutorials, and example projects for Nucleus
Build relationships with developers building on the Strand API, SDKs, and CLI
Represent Strand at conferences, meetups, and online developer communities
Create technical content, including blog posts, sample apps, and integration guides
Channel developer feedback directly into the Nucleus roadmap
Help shape API design decisions from the perspective of the people who will actually use them
What We Are Looking For
Prior experience as a developer, ideally with some professional engineering background
Experience in developer relations, developer advocacy, or technical writing
Comfort writing code in public, including sample apps and live demos
Strong written communication. Documentation is a product here, not an afterthought
Genuine interest in talking with developers, listening to their problems, and following through
Willingness to travel occasionally for conferences and events
What We Offer
Competitive salary and meaningful equity
Remote with no required timezone, or based in our San Francisco office
25 days paid vacation plus local public holidays
5,000 USD annual learning and development budget
Home office stipend to set up a workspace that works for you
Health, dental, and vision coverage
Annual team offsite
Extended equity exercise window
All systems operational
